Vision Summit

You’re invited to our Vision Summit (formerly known as our Annual Church Business Meeting) on Wednesday, September 28 at 7:00 PM in the Sanctuary. We will have a time of worship, talk about the goodness of the Lord, celebrate what He’s done and cast vision for what we believe He will do in the future.

  • All CLA attendees are encouraged to attend, however only members will be able to vote.
  • No adult groups will be held that evening.
  • Youth will gather as usual.
  • Kids’ activities will be held with special guest Unique Kidz Ministry. They are a family that is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus, and they travel all over the U.S.

Immediately following the Vision Summit, connect with CLA staff and other attendees, and enjoy free ice cream from Whistle Stop on Wheels at the West Portico. (The ice cream is for youth and kids too!)
Please note: We will be voting on an amendment at the Vision Summit. View the amendment here.

Deacon Ratification

This year, two deacons will be put on the ballot for ratification. On Sunday, September 25, the Deacon Ratification will take place before and after both services in the Lobby.

All members of CLA are encouraged to vote. Ratification results will be announced at our Vision Summit on September 28.

Learn more about our two nominees – Rich Alioth and Michael Bongiorno.

Rich Alioth

Rich Alioth has served as deacon the past four years. "What an honor it's been," he says, "to work with Pastor Shane and the leadership of this church – we are truly blessed!" Celebrating 30 years of marriage in August, Rich and his wife Lisa are the proud parents of four beautiful daughters: Jourdan, Jenna, Corinne and Grace. A Northern York County English teacher, Rich oversees Faculty Prayer on Mondays and The Rock Student Fellowship on Wednesdays. Each spring he coaches track at the middle school level, a program that he and a fellow teacher began 25 years ago. Members of CLA, Rich and Lisa both sing in the choir and on the worship team. An acoustic guitarist, Rich periodically plays Sunday mornings in the worship band and Wednesday nights for CORE. He is thrilled to be back in Christmas Wonderland again this year! In his spare time, Rich races the family's Sunfish at Pinchot and hikes the AT and Adirondacks a few times each year. In summary, he has this to say: "How grateful I am to be involved in the life of CLA; it would be a privilege to serve another term as deacon."

Michael Bongiorno

Michael Bongiorno and his wife Carole have celebrated 47 years of marriage. They reside in Mechanicsburg and have two married daughters and two grandsons. Michael has served at Heritage Investment Services Fund, Inc. (HIS Fund) since May 1997 and currently functions in the role of Chairman, President & CEO. Michael is an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God and has attended CLA with Carole since 1992; his favorite Bible verse is Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes – the Jew first and also the Gentile.”
