Fall Class Descriptions:
1. Keeping Place, Reflections on the Meaning of Home
By Jen Pollock Michel
Facilitator: Rhonda Marsh
Keeping place offers hope to the wanderer, help to the stranded, and a new vision of what it means to live today with our longings for eternal home. This study, using both a study book and a companion DVD series, helps us to see that there is a homemaking God with wide arms of welcome—and a church commissioned with the same work.
2. Moms of Men
By Lisa Bevere and Havilah Cunington
Facilitator: Casey Weikert
Moms of boys—we are a special breed. If you have a boy you call your own, we would love for you to join us in improving your “momming” skills as we learn how to mold our boys into Godly men. This video series is honest, funny, and refreshing. So whether your boy was just born or just about to fly the nest, we want to recruit you to join the MOB (Moms of Boys).
3. Psalms: Managing our Emotions
By Steve May
Facilitator: Sue Ellen Edmonds
Come join the fun and lively discussions as we explore God’s heart through specific Psalms. One by one they will give us godly insight into joy, abandonment, fear, gratitude, anger, contentment, depression, disappointment, uncertainty, restlessness, outrage, and peace.
4. The Quest
By Beth Moore
Facilitator: Rhonda Reardon
To walk with God is to be on a quest. This DVD and workbook series is not an in-depth bible study like Beth has written before. Her goal this time is to take you on a journey packed with scripture and set-up specifically to increase your intimacy with God. Workbook lessons include space for you to journal and develop personal prayers as you dialogue with God.
